Earthly Slabs with Flashes of Sky

These are very simple pieces. But, I love them. One of the things I love the most is how the cool gemstones feel on your collarbone and chest. How a piece of jewelry feels definately rates as high as how it looks.

Statement necklaces are a fashion staple this fall. I have named my collection of statement pieces the "Queen's Jewels." The names are chosen by the personality, reputation and image of the Queen. You can view pieces from this collection at my Etsy store,
www.novelapproachdesigns.etsy.com. These two labradorite necklaces were named for the Greek Goddess Gaia. Gaia was the
Queen of the Earth and known as “Mother Earth” and consequently she became the mother of the Titans.

Labradorite is a power stone that is believed to strengthen intuitions. Maybe this comes from the vibrant blue flash within the grey, coldness of the stone. It is one of my favorite stones as it seems to sit, unassumingly and quietly and when you least expect it – you catch a sight of the brilliant blue flash. Maybe a little homage to the sky that Gaia helped to separate from the earth.

Any queen would be proud to wear your lovely necklaces. Labradorite looks so unassuming in one direction and then you turn and the blue flashes are amazing. Certainly a favorite stone of mine.

Thank you Kateri, Jackie & Lois! I probably have more labradorite stones in my supplies than any other stone. I pretty much buy it every time I order... borders on addiction I think! ~Kari

Lovely necklaces, and I love the comment about the greek goddess! It's always interesting to have these little tidbits of info to go with a piece or certain stone!

Just beautiful! Simple and elegant, couldn't be prettier! I also like that you put a little lore in the description without getting too "far out" for some customers. Nicely done!

I also love the labradorite stones, and these are particularly lovely. The "flash" that comes and goes means it is always drawing you to look at it! Teri
